Tonight was one of those nights. We were all sleeping soundly, then, beep. Beep! Beep! Beep! Oh no! The hubs wakes up and finds some batteries in our junk drawer (We always have batteries on hand. We learned our lesson a few years ago when this happened. We were out of batteries and we had to make a 3:00 am Walmart trip). So now, the task begins, to find which smoke alarm needs replacing. The hubs replaces one and we wait. Beep! We listen again. Beep! It's the carbon monoxide detector. Batteries replaced.
As I am getting all cozy in bed I hear, maaaaaaa! Ok, maybe he will go back to bed. So I wait. Maaaaaa! Whaaaaa! Baaaaa! Ok, so C isn't going back to sleep. I wonder if it was all the beeping that woke him up or he just work up. We will never know. Good thing we were awaken by our carbon monoxide detector, because that reminded us that we need to change out the batteries-day lights savings.
